What changed.

This site gets updated as the studio's setup changes — new connectors, corrected instructions, new pages. Rather than making you re-read everything or trust a Slack scrollback, every change lands here with the date and a link straight to it. Skim the top entry after any announcement and you're current.

The companion app

The site teaches you once. The app is the part you keep — and it's the biggest addition since launch.

  • Companion app, installable on your phone and your computer. No app store, no account, about ten seconds. Holds the six commands you'll actually type, 40 prompt starters by department, connector installs, and the quick fixes. It works with no signal once you've opened it once.
  • It looks like an app, not a website. Tabs along the bottom on a phone; a sidebar dashboard on a computer. The website itself is unchanged — the app layout only appears once it's installed.
  • A step-by-step install guide for iPhone, iPad, Android, Windows, and Mac, with pictures of exactly what to tap on each one — plus a QR code in the setup wizard so you can scan it straight to your phone.
  • Installing it is now part of Setup and the Get Started wizard, right before you pick your department.

Unreal MCP is now Epic's own plugin

This one is a correction, and it matters if you followed the old setup instructions.

  • Epic Games publishes a first-party Claude Code plugin now, and UE 5.8 has an MCP server built into the editor. What used to be a custom setup is a two-line install. The Setup page has been rewritten around it.
  • One gotcha worth knowing: you may need to enable the Toolset registries inside Unreal by hand. Skip that and the connection goes green while exposing nothing useful — which looks exactly like a broken install.

Two new pages: Connections and Studio Setup

  • Connections — the studio's connector library. 17 verified connectors, filterable by department and by how much to trust them. Every command copied from an official source rather than guessed. Highlights: Sentry for crash triage across real builds, Perforce so Claude finally understands the depot, Jira, and PostHog.
  • Four things we deliberately recommend against are listed too, with reasons — worth reading before you install something you found online.
  • Studio Setup — for whoever owns the repo. Not required reading. The eight repo-level changes that make everyone else's Claude better by default: code intelligence, the playbook marketplace, guardrails, log monitors, permissions.

Reference material you can actually find

  • Get Started — the click-by-click wizard. Pick Mac or Windows and it walks you through every step, and remembers where you left off.
  • Skill Library — all 16 skills, filterable by department and type.
  • Cheat Sheet — printable one-pager. Pin it to your monitor.
  • Contribute — how to turn something you figured out into a skill everyone gets, with a 30-second form if you don't want to open a PR.
  • Week Two, FAQ, and a 30-second setup picker for once the basics are behind you.
  • Press ⌘K anywhere (Ctrl K on Windows) to jump to any page, skill, or connector without hunting through the nav.
  • /rewind is on the cheat sheet now. It's the undo button — restore your code, the conversation, or both, to any earlier point in a session. Nothing inside a session is unrecoverable, so you never have to sit and watch nervously.

The site launched

Something wrong, or missing?

Corrections belong here the same way skill fixes do.

If an instruction on this site is out of date — a command that changed, a menu item that moved, a step that doesn't match what you're seeing — that's the same kind of thing as a stale skill, and it should get fixed for everyone rather than worked around one person at a time. Use the Contribute form; it takes thirty seconds and no PR.
